WEAR*It Wednesday's

Guess what just got a make over? Besides this here blog?! Rachel's Wear*It*Wednesday's!!! That's right, Rachel is now offering up dates for people to host their OWN Wear*It. All you have to do is pick a date, a theme, and host it on your blog!

Wear*It*Wednesday's are weekly posts where bloggers all over the place wear the weekly theme. It's been everything from Navajo to holiday themed. Rachel is expanding in hopes of featuring styles she herself typically does not wear.

Read the full post here and PLEASE join! It's a wonderful way to stay engaged, challenge your style, interact with other bloggers, and gain a different audience.

There isn't anything better.

Cincinnati Museum Center

If you're looking for a way to visit several museums in one place, Cincinnati Museum Center is a great way to do it.
It features several museums and an Omnimax theater in a train terminal that still has Amtrak traffic.
For $12.50 (adult) you have access to all the museums and a ticket to their Omnimax feature.

Right now the Cincinnati Museum Center is playing the Rocky Mountain Express. Which shows breathtaking scenery and history of the Canadian Pacific Railroad. It might sound boring, but honestly, it feels like you're flying through the mountains with this train. It's definitely worth it.

In the Natural History and Science Museum part you'll see several now extinct animals. A replica of local limestone caves, and a walk through section of the Ice Age.

There is also a Children's Museum for those with little ones or for people who still like to have fun! A section also features the history of Cincinnati itself and the change it's had over time.

Spending the day in this huge, multi-museum complex was a fun and enlightening way to spend a Saturday!

Head over to Life as we Live it to see more about the Cincinnati Museum Center and other posts, too!

A Day in the Gordon Square Arts District

Gordon Square Arts District
West Side- Cleveland, Ohio

The Gordon Square Arts District is part of the vibrant Detroit Shoreway community centered on Detroit Avenue between W. 54th to W. 76th on the west side of Cleveland. Theatres, restaurants, galleries, wine bars and shops occupy the area. The neighborhood has a diverse population and a hip vibe while maintaining laidback charm. I was first introduced to the Gordon Square Arts District while working as an environmental consultant on a restoration project in the area. I spent my lunch hours and time after work exploring the neighborhood and find it a fabulous destination for an Ohio Day Trip.
