Hello! A long time ago we started this blog to bring together the local Ohio bloggers and to build a strong blogging community. While our vision on this end has clearly lacked (who has time for multiple blogs?) we have succeeded in creating, building, and growing an Akron/Cleveland blogger community. From brunches, clothing swaps, trunk shows, fashion shows, coffee dates, thrifting adventures, pampering nights, and everything in between we have formed a wonderful community of not only bloggers, but as friends.

To me, there is nothing more important than having a support system and a group of people that understand your hobby and also support your creative endeavors. Since creating this, I've become great every day friends with the bloggers I met mostly from this here blog(ish) and I'm so thankful!

There are tons of events that have occurred in the past several months/years and I wish that more of you would've known about them or have been invited. The members list is very up to date...like two minutes ago. So, I hope that helps at connecting people together.

While we don't update this portion much or really at all, I do still encourage everyone to participate and/or share events or whatever on here. I'd love to get to meet more of you and I'd love to see more of a community being built.

Anyways, the point of this was, there's a ton of Ohio bloggers and you are all awesome and I'm glad to have gotten to meet a bunch of you and collaborate with you and eat desserts with you. So, let's keep it going!

Akron bloggers check out Versona Accessories!

A Versona Accessories recently opened in Akron's Summit mall and Versona kindly sent a few Akron bloggers giftcards to go check it out and review. You can see what Jessica from Midwest Muse got here and what Rachel from For the Birds got here. 

Both bloggers were impressed with the selection and customer service at the store. The employees were friendly and helpful and selection did not disappoint! The store has an abundance of jewelry, a great selection of tights and also clothes. Definitely worth checking out!

Akron's NOTO hosting Trunk Show!

Stop by NOTO's Holiday pop-up shop inside the Akron City Centre ( map ). They are open Monday through Friday 10 AM - 2PM hosting their usual great styles as well as affordable artwork by Sally Patterson.

Ohio/Michigan Blogger Meet-Up Reminder!

To all you Ohio/Michigan bloggers out there : the deadline was extended to attend the the Blogger meet-up coming up!

Noto Fashion Show

The Noto "Northside Fashion Show" took place in the Northside Lofts, which was a very nice industrial space in downtown Akron. The space worked well with the show and the collections. The event was sold out and with good reason. Noto is Akron's own upscale independent boutique.

The collections this year were beautiful. They were full of chiffon, floppy hats, white material, summer colors, and dresses with beautiful movement.

In addition to the beautiful runway show, there was also a live band, runway voting, sponsor tables, a pop up boutique where attendees could purchase the exact clothes seen on the runway, adorable reusable tote bags, and so much more!

The show was much different than last year, but still had the same authentic enjoyable well done feeling as last year.

If you weren't able to make it this year, please do yourself a favor and attend next year! Akron isn't exactly the place of excitement, so when something this awesome occurs and is 100% local, why wouldn't you check it out?!

Even if you missed it, be sure to head on over to Noto where you can enjoy the lovely owner Lauren or one of her staff members. It's always a treat and the boutique itself is beautiful, welcoming, and an all around fun place to be.

NOTO's Northside Fashion Show

If you're from the Akron area you may have seen the cute little invitations for The Northside Fashion Show floating around.

NOTO is one of the top locally owned fashion boutiques here in Akron and us 330 bloggers can't get enough!

The fashion show is going to be extra good this year because it's going to feature a Local Designer Challenge.. The audience will get to view multiple designers' collections and then vote on our favorite via text message. The winning designer's collection will then be featured in NOTO this summer - how much fun is that?

Viewers will also get to see NOTO's summer collection and can even buy anything from the collection right after the show!

  Tickets to the show are $30 and that includes: fashion show access, drink tokens and an exclusive NOTO gift! You can buy tickets online here.
